MINING: Office

by Ursula Gaisbauer and Friedrich Engl
As part of the opening cycle of Soho Studios
Sandleitenhof, Vienna, Austria

In the course of the Open Studio Day, Friedrich Engl and Ursula Gaisbauer opened the door to their office. In the room under the stairs, a kind of worm extension of the building, artefacts from the last MINING intervention from the former Filmhaus Stöbergasse are stored. Among the objects are the key to the building, which no longer exists, letters that were dismantled from the façade and rearranged, and the purple velvet fabric of a notice board on which traces of faded poster formats can still be glimpsed. These and other curiosities were marked by the artists on Open Studio Day, making them unique.
